I find it boring when people only recommend abstract thoughts. (It's not like I'm above it, I've done it before and I'll do it again), but if that's the only thing you recommend, you might want to go to twitter or whatever place is replacing that site right now 😒. EDIT (2025): at this point, these are not even recs, it's just you displaying your thoughts.
I want to see things to read, listen to, watch, products, places. Go crazy. This is what this site is for.

i find myself lacking creativity lately; i thoroughly blame college for it which i feel like should enhance it but apparently not. so lately i’ve been looking for some sort of guidance and also interesting articles to read on my commute to uni instead of mindlessly doomscrolling (which i also love doing).
there are so many categories to choose from like zines and essays along with a collection of tips and guides which i find quite useful and entertaining!
i absolutely love this site! its my little corner of the internet that actually helps me too and exposes me to so many things.

I love this app so much. I’ve been trying to find a way to share my media of the week and make it like a whole thing. I was initially thinking of putting it on my moodboard page but this is way cooler. Anyways here’s my media of the week:
MUSIC: Arular - M.I.A
Thank you to the beautiful Elike for adding a few songs from this album to his playlist. I have severely slept on M.IA - I cannot believe this was the same person who made paper planes. The moodboard of the album is: the bitches, DIY tropicana rave and battery powered sound systems. The cover artwork goes just as hard. My favourite track is Bucky Done Gun.

I’ve recently stumbled upon this really interesting essay by Emile M. Reed discussing the spacial experience of a computer as it becomes increasingly standardised. How this standardisation doesn‘t invite as much creativity. I find that there are a few rly interesting implications of this in the realm of art and technology especially generative/programmable art.

im in the same boat. I have a toddler son with another baby coming any day now. While I don’t own a business I do work my 40 hours, cook, clean (because my very pregnant wife doesn’t need to do that after watching our toddler all day) then I try to find time to study for classes to move up in my current job.
…….. but damn do I love photography.
What really gave me motivation was to work on a series of pieces that relate to each other and have more of a message. Since I shoot film, there’s costs to that as well as props, backgrounds, etc, so it’s taken me a bit of time. But while I wait, I keep a “photo idea” note on my phone and write down new shoots to look forward to.
It’s tough to do it all though, I feel ya.
