I had to get a prime free trial for uni and I have been on that thing like crazy. Watching some really average movies too- but it is what it is! Lemme kno if u know anything good on the platform too if u want as I am always looking for more things to watch 😄

I only had it for three months but I found lots of movies that I wouldn’t have seen otherwise. I also like that, while there’s some movies from Hollywood, they prioritize recs of independent and foreign movies. The only reason I cancelled was because I had too many subscriptions already. The offer at the time was too ridiculous not to take. Once it passed, I cancelled but overall I thought it was a good experience.

I subscribe to a bunch of shit, share log-ins for others and get sent some screeners, but nothing compares to being asked by a friend to illegally locate the third movie spinoff of a Danish sitcom or a German TV documentary about Michael Jackson for free online. It's hunting and gathering for millennial men. The big streaming platforms suck so bad anyway, they flatten most coolness out of culture and they try to trick you into watching stuff in the basest ways. At least I feel accomplished when I do some "Hackers"-style Googling, hit half a dozen dead links and then have to close a swarm of popups like I'm catching flies out of thin air just to watch four innings of a Yankees game.

Since my partner is at uni I have access to the university dvd archives. watching films that aren’t available on streaming! And for free! And bonus features!! Yes please!!

I’m pretty much exclusively eating instant noodles at the moment due to my budget and lack of imagination. But then, I added some tuna to the mix. Tuna with the (non-soup) ramen. It works and I like it and I recommend it. Also maybe it makes it more of a well rounded meal?
