I use YouTube. Start with 1 min. Then try just making it a daily habit. Then progress to 3,5 mins, etc. you can also do walking meditations or meditations while drinking tea (of course the Brit suggests this) if sitting/laying down is not your thing.

I have been in the most consistent meditation habit since getting the Calm app because it really takes a lot of the thinking out of it. HOWEVER, there are tons of free resources on youtube and guided meditations released as podcasts. I feel like a big thing for me has been having a good mix of actual meditation and activities that put me in to a sort of similar headspace. A big one for me is going on walks and bird watching. I also find it easiest anytime I can sort of restrict myself in a way (ie im in the bath tub, wearing an eye mask, laying under a weighted blanket) to help keep myself in it.

Yes, start small. Find a guided meditation or some music or just quiet. Sit up or lay down. Just be comfortable. The goal isnโ€™t to get rid of your thoughts, but to simply observe them and let them pass. Itโ€™s okay if you fall asleep.

This was my first football match and I went solo because none of my friends watch football. It was so exhilaring! A cauldron of testosterone! i donโ€™t support Leicester or Crystal Palace but as a neutral it was truly fascinating observing this wonderful thing we call the beautiful game. something kinda old school about seeing families with their kids eating pies and singing football chants.
