I started doing this when I got the first covid booster and was feeling its effects. It‘s great food to doordash when you’re to sick to go anywhere. It also doesn’t get soggy on the trip over or taste worse after it’s been sitting for a bit. Any curry or dish is super comforting and there’s enough spice there to taste something and help clear up your sinuses.

the other day i had a rotten sore throat w/ a quite empty pantry, so i just made a super simple pastina recipe (broth, orzo, parmesan, butter, & pepper) and i'm telling you. it was like magic how much better i felt! i wasn't cured or anything, but i felt leagues better for a few hours :)

had mono a year ago and at first I wanted to eat comfort food to feel better during the fatigue, but once my tonsils got hella inflamed and my throat was just on fire all the time I realized all the greasy, salty, sugary, carby, alcoholic stuff was probably making it worse. you can find stuff online that has a more comprehensive list of what triggers inflammation but I took anything fun out of my diet for a while and stuck to simple soups/rice dishes and definitely helped some. side note whatever you do resist sticking stuff down your throat to scratch your tonsils.
