my most favorite cocktail is the painkiller — fruity, creamy, rum based. like what’s not to love?? but since I don’t usually have the ingredients on hand, my go to at home is a gin and tonic with a squeeze of lime. simple! classic! refreshing! and finally, my night out drink of choice is a dirty shirley (a shirley temple with vodka). sweet and easy to knock back (maybe a little too easy)

I usually rely on a martini or a Negroni, but when I want something a bit lighter, but still with some punch ive been reaching for a rum and tonic. You can try it with every kind of rum until you find the one that speaks to you. Just make sure to use a nice rum and a lot of lime.

preheat oven to 400 F (sry if you’re not american) pick your favorite vegetable. if you choose something big like zucchini, butternut squash, sweet potato, etc., cut it into 1 inch cubes. place your veggies on a lined baking sheet, then hit ’em with the old one two. ONE: drizzle with olive oil TWO: sprinkle with salt and pepper use a rubber spatula or your hands to coat everything evenly. cook time depends on your veggie, but probably somewhere in the 20 min zone. pull them out when they start getting crispy. voila! simple, healthy, tasty veggies. asparagus, green beans, brussel sprouts, carrots, broccolini…like truly the options are endless.
