This has been a really hard Jan and now Feb. It’s super cold, it’s windy, it’s dark out. politics feel really overwhelming and work can just compound and compound. and I’m saying all this because of course you feel this way! admit and allow yourself to be overwhelmed and don’t try to reason it away.
Now that you’ve admitted and accepted that you’re feeling this way and you (hopefully) feel validated, what can you do? What do you need? Do you need friends? Do you need nostalgia? Do you need guilt free veg out for a whole day? Do you need to clean? What will make you feel in control of what you can control?
For me, that’s sometimes scheduled exercise and sometimes it’s watching 6 episodes of law and order svu.
Basically, feel, validate, respond.
