a more recent pick but going into it knowing nothing about what I was about see and hearing the whole audience gasp together and feeling their energy really made for an incredible movie watching experience

Saw this with a huge crowd before the official premiere. The experience of everyone going in knowing nothing about whats going on, figuring everything out all together and reacting to scenes/characters in real time was so great, especially for the debut of one of the greatest modern directors

Some of my favorite movie-going experiences weren’t ones I was looking forward to for months but ones where a friend had an extra ticket or someone said “you would like this” and I went in totally blind. Specifically, last night I saw “Ash Is Purest White” followed by a q&a with director Jia Zhangke. A great film with an absolutely knock out lead performance by Zhao Tao. I didn’t know any of these names before last night. Take a chance!

I remember a friend texting me after work and just saying "hey you wanna see this movie?" I didn't watch a trailer or anything and had no idea what to expect from it. It is one of the best moviegoing experiences I've ever had. It was amazing.

if you don’t have the time for an actual break sometimes just taking an hour or less to go on a walk can really help settle your mind. It won’t immediately break you out of a funk but having that time to yourself outside will def help

I started doing this when I got the first covid booster and was feeling its effects. It‘s great food to doordash when you’re to sick to go anywhere. It also doesn’t get soggy on the trip over or taste worse after it’s been sitting for a bit. Any curry or dish is super comforting and there’s enough spice there to taste something and help clear up your sinuses.
