because i shouldn't have to pay $17 for a fun little drink, but i still want an elevated drinking experience. this weekend i made fresh ginger syrup and it was so good. liquor + sweet + acid + liqueur is the best formula
the cocktail word is so expansive and fascinating. it's also a great skill. get some base liquors, some bitters and a couple other bottles and start experimenting!
They can be anything from a simple margarita to a tiki drink with 12 ingredients. Everyone has their own taste and everything is worth trying at least once. Your ancestors didn’t ferment or soak plants in grain alcohol for no reason! They taste good and are fun to drink. Lately I’ve been drinking the Pierre Ferrand Yuzu curaçao in anything where I’d use normal orange curaçao and it’s fantastic.
Surprisingly easier to make a damn good martini at home than I previously thought. New weekly ritual of making myself a Thursday night 'tini has been key for me getting through the week!
this weekend a man on the bridge dropped his airpods so i picked them up for him then on his run back when he passed me he smiled and waved because we were microfriends. i will never see him again but we had our moment
