if theres one thing i can't stand it's a one-dimensional ass piece of fruit. Like on that can only play on one note, has no depth in flavor. A bosc pear for example (abs hate them, worst fruit!!) but plums are sweeet, sour, divinely juicy

I don’t mind the effects; I drink cherry juice every night anyway and I will eat a whole bowl and admire the pits and stems at the end, holding my belly as big as the bowl. I am seriously disappointed by the pear hate in our beloved community. Least favorite: fucking bland ass melons, taking up space pretending to be a serving of fruit. No.

Aesthetically and for their richness of flavour. Feels more sophisticated and deeper than many common plums to my part of the world, like yellow or Doris. Their green streaks are a beautiful complement to deep purples and blood reds - their insides are also lovely and bloody often. Tart little skins, they seem to remain more taut and less watery than many and tend to have a cute and satisfying nub at the end; heart shaped and juicy. :)

Strawberries are objectively the best because there’s no such thing as a bad one. If it’s ripe and sweet, that’s just a plus, but even the not-quite-ready ones are delicious. Refreshing, if you will. Don’t get me wrong, there’s so much good fruit, but there are none that I can love in every state and form apart from strawberries. Worst fruit: Pears. Send that shit back to the fiery pits of hell from which it was created.

exploitative? maybe. But i think that's a risk with any portrayal of a vulnerable subject. imo Donny's storytelling was careful yet incisive. I think it centered more-so around his own acquiescence, at times even explicit encouragement, and self-realization. As for Fiona Harvey's interview, the casting and acting was def on point...
