It's the gift that keeps on giving. Perfectly iconic and campy. And when you're finish, you can check out Bill Hader and Fred Armisen's hilarious parody :)))
my profound attachment to this movie is probably something i should unpack with a therapist... nonetheless, it is absolutely nasty, creepy, and reminiscent of all the aspects of girlhood i struggled with the most. u should definitely check it out :)
exploitative? maybe. But i think that's a risk with any portrayal of a vulnerable subject. imo Donny's storytelling was careful yet incisive. I think it centered more-so around his own acquiescence, at times even explicit encouragement, and self-realization. As for Fiona Harvey's interview, the casting and acting was def on point...
if theres one thing i can't stand it's a one-dimensional ass piece of fruit. Like on that can only play on one note, has no depth in flavor. A bosc pear for example (abs hate them, worst fruit!!)
but plums are sweeet, sour, divinely juicy
