exploitative? maybe. But i think that's a risk with any portrayal of a vulnerable subject. imo Donny's storytelling was careful yet incisive. I think it centered more-so around his own acquiescence, at times even explicit encouragement, and self-realization. As for Fiona Harvey's interview, the casting and acting was def on point...
Richard Gadd’s Baby Reindeer exhibited a raw form of artistic vulnerability… it’s for the strong, for the ones whose hearts are forged indestructible and unabashed…
Baby Reindeer!
The bravery it took for the actual person who went through these events to reenact their own traumas is insane! I didn’t know what I was signing up for but I’m glad I saw it. It’s so honest and vulnerable.
Immaculate!
Omg omg omg, Sydney Sweeney! That performance! The cast?? Brilliant. It’s so gory and twisted 10/10!
my profound attachment to this movie is probably something i should unpack with a therapist... nonetheless, it is absolutely nasty, creepy, and reminiscent of all the aspects of girlhood i struggled with the most. u should definitely check it out :)
It's the gift that keeps on giving. Perfectly iconic and campy. And when you're finish, you can check out Bill Hader and Fred Armisen's hilarious parody :)))
if theres one thing i can't stand it's a one-dimensional ass piece of fruit. Like on that can only play on one note, has no depth in flavor. A bosc pear for example (abs hate them, worst fruit!!)
but plums are sweeet, sour, divinely juicy
