I have these little moments sometimes where I'm with my family or with my friends doing menial things like cooking together and I'll just stop for a minute and think, 'damn, I really love these people. I am so incredibly lucky to have them in my life. I could cook these little meals with them for a lifetime and never even need to eat what we make because I don't even care about that.' and then I'll punch their arms just to keep em humble. i love when love hits me like a hit and run.

this is a targeted rec and it may be pathetic, but only slightly.
really what i love about this is the realization of love’s power. you can get the shit kicked out of you emotionally and still feel love. the very thing that kicks you down is the one that will raise you up and i just find that so touching.
the yearning sucks, but the love is what keeps me going and ultimately it’s what’s made me happy in the end.
