I can't drink a lot of caffeine because I have grave's disease, but I love the ritual of a morning decaf coffee. The taste and the placebo of it all. It tastes slightly different than real coffee but I don't mind. I barely notice it. Because that shit still motivates me Teas are a bit easier of course but I love a good black tea and the Twinning decaf earl gray is somehow more noticeable in taste... so I'm looking for the perfect placebo black tea.

A nightly cup of decaf black tea with sugar. Earl Grey, Constant Comment, or really any black tea is so cozy and warm. I started drinking it as a habit replacement for a nightcap during dry January, but now itβ€˜s just a regular part of my nighttime wind down.

I cannot hack coffee. I am pathetic and British so maybe the need for Tea as hot drink of choice makes sense. However, I have never felt like I'm missing out, because of the vast range of teas available. Want a little caffeine boost? An English breakfast, or an Earl Grey for a more perfumey flavour should do the trick. (Personally I save English breakfast tea for home consumption, and treat myself to any other type of tea when out but never in the home. It's an important separation). A herbal tea, like a red fruit or camomile can take me depending on my mood. Lots of choice without the anxious jitters !

in my old age (almost 26) i am realizing i enjoy tea more over coffee. i never thought this would happen. i only need the amount of caffine from half a cup of coffee. earl grey has the same effect as a full cup and doesn't make me feel like i am going to vibrate out of my skin. oolong and rooibos are the most delicious flavors on earth. i cr*am my pants every time i find a place that makes a GOOD chai latte. anyone else discovering the many earthly delights of tea? share ur favs <3

in any way shape or form... for me personally my thyroid is getting normal again because i've done the necessary work to help myself, and that feels really good
