I’ve decided this is neutral in terms of ethics. I’ve watched women fight with their significant others over sleeping with younger women, marvel explainer videos, men checking for cheating girlfriends on home cameras, endless tiktok scrolls, conversations about the debate, casual convos about grocery shopping. It goes on and on. The easiest way to peek into someone else’s life when you’re bored Mostly tho, I read

Looking over people’s shoulders to read their phone on public transport

I often think of myself as an alien sent to observe human life. One of the ways I like to do this is by sneaking a lil look at what other people are looking at on their phones when I’m on the tube or the bus, to see what they’re texting, listening to, or reading (they’re usually on Whatsapp). It’s just a nice lil reminder that this is a whole city teeming with life and individual stories that are surrounding us at all times. I don’t see it as an invasion of privacy cause I usually just go “huh!” and immediately forget about it. Except that one time I saw a guy’s phone password was 000000. I think about him all the time.
