Believe it or not… Even though there are some biological and societal inevitabilities that await you in your 30s, it is so extremely possible to keep doing those things and making the next decade (and the next and so on) a continuation of the beautiful, youthful energy you are embracing now. From personal experience, my 20s were basically a black hole. I was depressed and came out feeling like I wasted time and missed out on a lot of experiences. So far, my 30s have been a renaissance of creativity, friendship, love and pleasure, and I intend for that to continue.

im turning 30 this year and im literally so excited... life has never felt as peaceful or made this much sense before. im really looking forward to my 30s and beyond, the hardships still come of course but i am way better equipped to handle them. 20s is/was so stormy and unstable constantly and my mental health was very poor (though i will always struggle in this sector i have way better techniques that i could have only gained through experience!) i feel overall happier and more capable than ever, truly grounded, and ready to keep growing in this direction. i know aging is never super fashionable but in my experience it's been nothing but positive. so don't be afraid if u are someone who feels anxious about it!!!

I’ve experienced 5 birthdays for ages ending in zero and none of them marked a big turning point in my life * What I’ve realized, and other people have agreed with, is that no adult age has felt like I assumed it would be when I was young. 30, 40, 50… I’m still me. Less hair and more prescriptions, but still me. Ages will mean as little or as much as you decide they do. If you want turning 30 to mark a change in your life, go for it! Want to forget about it? It’s forgotten. Life doesn’t organize itself by decades or years. Do takeadvantage of every opportunity you have, though: go places, exercise, meet people, take care of your body. Those kinds of things get more difficult with age. Also, don’t stop looking for new music. *well I bought a car when I was 30 and drove it for 20 years, but the timing was just coincidence

Your thirties are essentially your twenties, but with a filter placed over them. So you lose some of the joy, passion, and vitality, but you gain an added depth and richness. Things that seemed unattainable before, suddenly start to take shape. There's still some chaos, but now the chaos coexists with stability in a steady little invigorating balance and you finally start to get to put some of that "experience" to use as you continue to navigate and learn about this shit show we call life.

“Wanna be friends?” is an underutilized tactic in adulthood. Kindergarteners know what’s up.

This is a type of walk I do almost every day. Walk in one direction until you hit a stoplight. Then immediately turn and walk in the new direction until you hit a stoplight and repeat until you get back home.
