Listened to this. Chill and grooving rock album. There's a Rolling Stones Cover and the voice reminds me a bit of Billy Idol...if he was more chill and nineties maybe.

"Crocodiles," the debut album -- amazing to think it was recorded/released in 1980 -- is everything you loved about the Doors and Velvets but without the Mojo Risin or Uncle Lou hangover. Ian McCulloch's voice is a once-in-a-generation instrument and "Going Up," "Monkeys" and "Rescue" point the way to a bunch of indie-guitar overcoat rock that came later. "Heaven Up Here" followed in 1981 and is even darker and druggier, if possible - "A Promise" might be my favorite Echo-tune ever. "Light on the waves" -- somehow hopeful even amidst the shade of Thatcher-era Britain.

Read this. I found it in one of those little libraries. I know this is a must-read for a lot of people but somehow I never read it. Reading anyone's autobiography is fascinating, and Malcolm X is one of the most fascinating people ever. You do have to put up with many misogynist comments throughout the book, which is tough. It's beautiful and heartbreaking to follow someone so fully dedicated to their purpose in life. It's going back to the little library, hopefully someone else picks it up.

https://gimletmedia.com/shows/science-vs/mehwdgww This whole topic is so scary and confusing! Science Versus did an episode about the health implications for different oil types, interviewed advocates on both sides of the issue, did a comprehensive literature review etc. and showed that the studies have not been able to demonstrate anything conclusive about this. It is possible seed oils are harmful in a way that hasn’t been captured yet by science, but the lack of evidence refutes the hypothesis that seed oils are the devil as many have been claiming. We’ll have to see where the science goes but good old olive oil and common sense never fails!
It may sound stupid because only stupid right-wing grifters seem to talk about it and never in any substantive or informative fashion but it’s real… here’s some information to start and at the end it identifies some actionable changes you can make 🧈
