- eat food that u like (bonus points if u cook a recipe, I find it very therapeutic) - dont procrastinate on cleaning - do it at the start of ur day and end of ur day (also therapeutic) - move ur body!! dance, walk, run, stretch!!!!!!!! it’ll help regulate ur parasympathetic nervous system - cold showers stimulate neural pathway development :) - be careful with what songs u listen to, make sure the lyrics aren’t..erm condescending bc I believe words u tell urself/listen to are very powerful. - pursue long-form media & hobbies to refocus ur attention span perhaps into a book, a feel-good movie/tv show OR paint, journal, sew clothes, make a bracelet. - explore ur city! pottery classes, farmers markets, botanical gardens, thrift stores, new park, new food spots - always indulge in ur appearance even if u aren’t going anywhere. Wear clean clothes, brush ur hair, be hygienic, indulge in skincare. :)

There are a few things I do such as: - Take vitamin D supplements during the gloomier months. My friend has been telling me for years and I finally did it and feel the difference. - Any sliver of sun you see stand in it. Bask in it. We need it. - Check if you’re dehydrated with the skin pinch test. If you fail, then get some electrolytes or coconut water in you. - Go on a walk. Any physical activity to get your dopamine back. - Delete all social media apps on my phone. - A new one I’ve been experimenting with is soundbaths. You can either listen to YouTube videos of it or find a local class. Have tried this for the past few months and I feel reset. - And sometimes you just need a good night out at a rave/concert where the music is so loud you don’t have to talk to anyone, you can disassociate and let the music drown out whatever is on your mind.

Start by saying to self: everything is fine. I am grateful, I am happy. I have all that I need. Listing things help alot too, they don't have to be big stuff, or special even. Just reminding self of good things that you didn't expect. And having health, looking well, having good food (generally provisions). Look at selfies from past and now. Things that help me see progression or improvement. Learn something slightly off or "not your thing". Talk nicely to yourself, the way you would cheer someone you love. Spoil yourself, and cut yourself some slack. Trawl https://www.reddit.com/r/Damnthatsinteresting/ Listen to music that makes you feel good. Work out, even if it's just a walk. Admire things you walk by. They don't need to be stunning. But the fact that you noticed, feels good to you. Talk to a friend or a stranger. Complimenting someone is like complimenting yourself. It reveals more about you than the other person. You can compliment yourself too! Caress your own face. breathe and say, I am loved, I am precious. Even if I don't know where things are going, I will be my own biggest fan.
