Yesterday I went to the theater (for the second time this year) :)) Each year I promise myself I'll try going to the theater once a month and I haven't succeed yet but this year looks promising so far :))
I was raised to believe theater is something reserved for 'the elites' (whatever that means) and people with an exquisite taste so trying this out and actually forming opinions like with any other field of art feels amazing. Maybe next time I'll even bring myself to go see an opera.
So yea, just me trying to fight with the idea of being not educated enough to enjoy 'fine art'.
My whole life has been spent in and around theaters. They are my church. These days it seems like we take performers a bit for granted. But for every stream online there is a person who had the guts to get up onstage and perform in some theater somewhere. My two favorite places in Los Angeles for live performances are Largo at the Coronet and The Elysian Theater. Go to either place any night and you will very likely find something wonderful and surprising. Don’t you want that?
I think is a real way to see multiple forms of art in one single room.
In general: the play as a whole.
In detail: the scenography, costume design, lighting design, music or sounds, the actoral performance, etcetc
good cultural thingy hehe
I call her Kostka which means "a bone" or "a dice".
Her full name is Konstantyna Ildewąs Miałczyńska which is a wordplay on the name of one of the polish poets Konstanty Ildefons Gałczyński. I changed Ildefons to Ildewąs because "wąs" means "whisker" and instead of Gałczyński we have Miałczyński because "miał" is a sound cats make in polish language.
Long story but it felt important to elaborate :))
