Sapphire and Ruby are my favs on the DS (I played Sapphire) and X and Y were my least fav. Sun and Moon as well as Black and White were amazing too. (Not even mentioning Gold and Silver because they’re unmatched) But I really recommend Sapphire and Ruby, I’d like to know your favs out of the collection On the switch I really didn’t like Let’s go Eevee and Pikachu. Tbh I haven’t been loving the switch games so far

jilly ooh i’d love to play sapphire/ruby someday!! honestly, my favorite game out of my collection is probably shield (i know, i know, you can throw tomatoes at me). it’s probably because it was the first game i got to play all the way to the end! i was so hyped when i finally beat the game and playing it always makes me happy lol. honestly out of all the switch releases i think sw/sh are the best by far, though i agree that so far they’ve kinda been lackluster compared to past games (especially scarlet/violet which i have a digital copy of…. i just can’t make myself like it) i’d say the ones i’d most like to get are black/white (or b2/w2) and heartgold/soulsilver!! here’s to hoping i’ll find an affordable copy someday lol

thats really cool!! the design of your gameboy is really cute! the I also have a small pokemon game collection but I haven't played any since sword and shield came out. I have some of the older Gameboy color games as well as pearl, black, Y, and sun! I'd love to get more but the games are so expensive when I find them 😭

soulful_old_man_sunshine ooh pokémon black/white is at the VERY top of my list of ones i wanna play!! but all the copies are so expensive so i might just have to download them without officially adding them to my collection 😔🤷 as much as i’d like to have the physical copy, i don’t have the money to pay $200 dollars for it :’)

flippydoo black was my favorite when I played them !! I lucked into it when I found a lot with a Pikachu 3DS and a bunch of the older DS and gameboy games with it, black included, and it was only like 50 bucks if I remember correctly. I'd for sure play it if you can and hopefully one day you'll find a reasonably priced copy to officially add it 🙏

Pokemon will always have a place in my heart. I like collecting the cards. Maybe I will post some of my favorites at some point. I also have been replaying Heart Gold (my favorite game) over the past two years with the goal of having a fully shiny team - I am at 5/6.

pickledonions that’s epic!! i have not gotten the chance to play heartgold or soulsilver yet but i have a 3ds so hopefully it’s in my future as i know most people list it as one of the best mainline pokémon games. as for the cards i‘ve been very casually collecting them for a bit since i got a bunch secondhand from a friend, plus i’ve been learning to play the tcg which has been very fun!

oh my goddd my friends have all gotten tired of me talking about this book because i literally bring it up whenever someone asks for book recs but it’s sooo amazingly written it’s a shame it isn’t more well known!! the plot is fairly simple, a woman named cassandra comes home from college to attend her twin sister’s wedding, but where it really shines is the unique character studies and the fun/relatable prose and inner monologue! it was written by dorothy baker in the 60s, and is pretty progressive for the time (the main character is lesbian which was definitely not accepted much back then!!) anyways i would definitely read it if you’re a fan of very down to earth and relatable stories! (although trigger warning for suicidal ideations, its not graphic but still!)
