We should bring back flip phones

Back to basics if you need a detox, strictly limited to calls and texts. Way more durable, easier to fit in your pocket. Much more aesthetically pleasing and cool than iphone or android. Should be at the forefront the same way vinyls are back on the menu.

i don't think we'll ever go back

i miss weird phones as much as anybody but honestly i think phones are too much of a solved technology at this point. the touchscreen was the best thing to happen to software and the worst thing to happen to hardware. it also doesn't help that there are fewer manufacturers now and they have more of an incentive than ever to keep making more boring, more expensive designs with higher margins. at least some of the new folding/bending ones are sort of cool but there's only so far they can go.

archaic technology

Over the last six or so months I have fully embraced the world of pre-digital technology. I communicate with friends and family over the world mainly via letters I type out on my Silver-Reed SR 180 DeLuxe and I currently yearn for a rotary phone. In the Information Age, there is something so intrinsically charming about using the innovations of yesterday that now mostly lie by the wayside. I am sure that in many ways my love of the analogue world is predominantly superficial but I think that is OK.

Talk to random strangers

Going for a little walk and maybe meet some people on the way to a cafe try to initiate small talk even if you feel like they’re gonna be a bore, most of the time you’ll actually enjoy it. Just talking in general it’s actually so fun to just talk to people.

Feeling lost in college

I have been pondering for a while now if i should change my major. I’m an accounting student and for starters I only took this course because the course i wanted wasn’t available in the college where i enrolled. In addition to that i transferred to another university where the tuition fee is free. I originally wanted to take a psychology course but now I am very interested in a mass communication degree as it involves a few studies regarding film and television. I am writing this while in my taxation class which im not very interested in. I just wanted to express myself somewhere as it is hard to tell my parents I want to shift courses when I am already 3 years deep in it 1 more year and I will graduate and if I choose to actually shift courses that is if im brave enough my parents will have to pay my tuition because the colleges that offer a communication degree that are close to me are mostly private and expensive and I dont wanna keep being a burden to them. I just wanted to write this down or tell someone this i guess in hopes of lessening my confusion and indecisiveness.
