sent some really old film to get processed and found this photo of a friend of mine from around 3 years ago in penn treaty park in philly. she moved to arizona right after this.
i never really look at photos on my phone so shooting film ends up serving as such a huge, important reminder of people i love and the things we were doing at different points in our lives.

i used to be such a hater, and of course there are ways it still shines through, but it’s exhausting to think everything everyone else does is embarrassing all the time. like yeah crocs are cringe, but that’s kind of the point? if it’s not hurting anyone, if it’s just someone being happy and enjoying something, why be a hater??

dubbed such because my ex was allergic to like all of the ingredients in it, and after breaking up, it was one of the first things i made.
it’s just cut up cucumbers, tomatoes, and avocado in a salad bowl with garlic, salt, pepper, olive oil, and ungodly amounts of lime juice, highly recommend

i have totally been there, and i dont necessarily recommend doing what i did, but i eventually texted the person for Reasons, acknowledged that I humiliated myself, and they said they legitimately didn’t think about it or find what i did embarrassing at all, even if i believe that an objective source would disagree? not that they completely forgot, just that they didn’t think about it like that.
it’s annoying to hear, but you really are your own worst critic! and everyone does embarrassing shit, and something more embarrassing will happen to you eventually, and that’s okay! it’s part of being human i guess
