Wow that movie was so HOTT! Nicole Kidman really was great at being a badass CEO and when she looks at Harris Dickinson you can really see her falling into submission in his presence with each moment. His hyper-confident dominant attitude had me sweating for sure. If youāre a freak - even just a little you should definitely see Babygirl.

Very surreal viewing experience with myself and one dude being the only solitary perverts in our small theater packed to the gills with peopleācouples, pairs of women, and a front row of college aged girls having a ladiesā night. They were talking so loudly that people had to yell at them to shut up. (After the movie I heard one of them say āI think it was straight middle aged freaky not actually freaky. Sheās a straight middle aged woman in power who wants to be dominated by the man and thatās the only thing. And she was a terrible person the entire time!ā)
I was blushing furiously the whole time and shrinking into my seat and my jaw definitely dropped multiple times. Very cerebral and psychosexually loaded movie that deals primarily in restraint to explore control vs vulnerabilityā¦

I had never heard of this film until the other day, despite it coming out in 2004, starring Nicole Kidman, who is sporting the chicest of pixie cuts, and having an aesthetic/tone/vibe that lights up all my pleasure centres (shot in NYC, grey/pink colour palette, opens on a long tracking shot set to intense classical music).
I think the reason I hadn't heard about the film was because it was so marred in controversy at the time of release because of its subject matter. Without giving too much away, Nicole's character is a widow who meets a 10-year-old boy who tells her he is her dead husband. People were up in arms about the idea of adult Nicole potentially being in love with a child. That said, all the criticism felt like it was coming from people who had heard about the plot rather than actually having seen the film, which just so happens to be a soulful, sensitive and intelligent meditation on grief and love.
Watch it, I beg of you!

Iām going in an inpatient program for maybe three weeks before I go to an outpatient program and live in an apartment with someone to help get back on my feet. On August 20th I was in a near fatal car accident on the way to work, I lost my car and my job all in the same week. Iāve been so depressed I would go a whole week at times without taking a shower or doing anything and then starting abusing stimulants again for the dopamine, itās been a toxic cycle but Iām ready for it to be over and even though Iām scared Iām also excited to get my life back.

It really hit close to home, after watching I felt so many emotions all at once. I donāt want to give it away but I (unfortunately) related with the main character too much. Does that ever happen to anyone after a movie?
