I eat oatmeal constantly. Its and absolute staple and I don't know where I'd be without it. Its my little quick fix in the morning to get me going, and most times i don't feel like cooking when i get off work late at night so oatmeal packet to the microwave we go. Ive got lots of flavors, and sometimes i add yogurt or fruit if i have it, or if im feeling really fancy overnight oat it up. I also eat lots of pasta and lentils for a change of scenery.

This is big for me because Iโ€™ve avoided oatmeal my whole life after decided it hurt my stomach. Recently, though? I am a changed woman. Iโ€™ve consumed some form of oats everyday for the past month. Usually for breakfast, Iโ€™ll add pumpkin seeds, ground flax, salt, honey, spinach, and an egg. I just finished my bowl this morning (that I added cardamom to!) and I canโ€™t wait for tomorrow morning.

sometimes, all you need is a giant bowl of oatmeal with some fruit, cinnamon and nut butter of choice. It hits when you donโ€™t have time to fry an egg

Find happiness in the little things. Bask in the sun rise, take a moment to people watch grocery shopping or a cafe. Go on drives to nowhere in particular with your favorite playlist blasting. Read plays to a stuff animal audience and really dramatize the characters.

We have one dying strip mall in this town and my friends and I just go there to wonder the few open stores left. We don't by anything we just peruse the places, make small talk with the shop keepers, sit and chat about the closed down shops on the benches. I also frequent the antique stores, and just look at the history thats brought in. Sometimes the store keeper drops by while you look and offer facts on some of the items. They get me out of the house and keep my mind off work and they're sometimes more accommodating than a coffee shop.
