Testo Junkie by Paul B preciado
I had very few experiences with autotheory but Testo Junkie is a remarkable work. It combines personal writing about the author experiences with medically transitioning, deeply investigating the biological, psychological and social aspects that impacted and changed with the process. He discusses gender, the capitalist control over it, the pharmaceutical industry and the pornography industry with dialogues with Foucaut's, Derrida's and Butler's theory. A lot of his later works also reside in the realm of autotheory like An apartment in Uranus and Can the monster speak (but I haven't read them). He also recently directed the movie Orlando, my political biography

nanabo I’m currently reading Lauren Fournier’s Autotheory as Feminist practice in art, writing and criticism and it’s made me realise it’s my favourite genre without ever previously having the language for it!! They’re some great reads

abstract. insane. gay. straight. murderer. he has it all lowk top tier writing even though it’s hard to follow at times. start with junky, i think it might be his most lucid, explore from there. also look into his life quite the figure

Noticing a dialogue between two recs on pi
One of the things I like the most about Pi.fyi and the current scale of users is that it's still noticeable when a rec was inspired by another. Sometimes the rec directly mentions the other, but other times you can kinda assume that reading an especific thing here triggered a memory or an ideia. It's very cute and interesting to notice the small influences interacting with other humans online can have.
