They make me feel like a little French clown doing my best to entertain you. They are only slightly too small, but I think it adds to the look.

This reminded me of those shoes for Chinese ladies in the imperial age to mold their feet into very small empanadas

they’re like normal shoes but they’re small and cute as hell. look at them. they fit in the palm of my hand
whenever i look at them i think “hah those shoes are smaller than they should be” also they represent something so temporary but joyous. like those shoes probably fit me for a grand total of 3 months but damn did i look good for those 3 months
worth it i found 3 pairs of my old shoes and hung them on my wall. ngl my lil ass was drippy as hell. look at these sneaks???

I’m quite famous for these. They’re not very long lasting, and I am no cobbler, I am no mender, so I go through around 3 pairs per year. Think of them as leather socks: they make your feet look small and strange, like Lord Farquaad’s. Wearing them daily has helped me cultivate the heart of a dancer. Jazz shoes are very similar to Lululemon leggings, they’re appealing because it makes some part of your body look like it’s been dipped in an obsidian lacquer. The clean-girl version of sensual footwear. The soles of your feet will be very close to the ground in these, and I hear being close to the ground is Buddhist.

I sometimes worry that I wouldn’t be such a feminist if I had bigger tits.

My toaster is having a bad week so she doesn’t have the energy to hold the lever down anymore. Which means I have to stand there pressing it down for three minutes making sure my toast doesn’t burn. I used to take that time for granted, now it’s being robbed of me by my broken toaster. Trying to give her grace.

Give your beauty to the people who can stare back in real-time and give you theirs. I rarely think I look like myself in pictures and that’s because I look like me outside where my expressions harmonize with the sunlight. This portrait of Dorothy Beridge, (by Joseph Wright of Derby) is on display in MIA and they actually have a plaque describing her as having plain features, which is the worst insult of the 18th century. She‘s trapped in a museum where the professionals call her uggo. I want to meet her in person where those features are meant to be seen. But, she gave that to her friends and family, not the strangers passing her by on their way to the elevators.
