pride in making something with your hands
i absolutely am in the right field i feel so much pride when i bring my vision to life on a plate… i’ve been thinking about this for weeks and it finally all came together for my final! this was for my plated desserts class and i got a perfect score!! it feels awesome to be cool calm collected and confident about something you’re passionate about and i’m mostly posting this to document my pride haha. ignore how the miso caramel looks from this angle i promise the color is darker golden beautiful… also i had so many people try it and it felt so good to feed something i’m proud of to people i love… okay that’s all - sesame maple panna cotta (the speckles are vanilla bean) - toasted coconut sesame crumble - miso caramel - mango coconut sorbet - sesame brandy tuille - diced mango and edible flowers

Silken Tofu Chocolate mousse
you know me and you know I would NEVER lie about a dessert, this one is (fire emoji) (fire emoji) (fire emoji) great. you literally cannot tell it's not made of cream and sugar, when in fact it is melted chocolate, silken tofu, vanilla, and maple syrup.

its an incredible feeling to be seen and understood especially by newer people in your life
these are some events i’ve been writing down bc they felt good. i’m now realizing half of them are about matcha lol. still a good feeling to have. it’s almost familial and comforting and maternal??? idk now that i read these again these are mostly all about food and drink which i think of rly beautiful bc i think food is love
