I‘m a film student and I love watching movies, but I hate waiting for them to be put on streaming so I started collecting DVD’s this year. My collection is small so far but I am hoping to fill my shelves eventually :)

i fear that one day all these online movie streaming sites are going to either remove the movies i love or just eventually become obsolete to some other, newer form of movie-watching. so ive started collecting the movies i love on dvd. if i ever see one in a thrift store, it’s in my hands neooow. plus, i love having my own copy. it feels like an homage to myself.

an unreal combo, honestly so tasty and so inexpensive too (i would share a picture of the ones I made tonight but it was only beautiful on the inside, not the outside cuz I burnt it a lil and I ate it all in like 5 minutes flat)

Right now I've been relistening to all the albums I loved in middle and high school, like Tyler the Creator's Igor, Arctic Monkeys' AM, Mac Miller's The Divine Feminine, and Paramore's self titled album Paramore! I was obsessed with all of these and going back to listen to this music has been so nostalgic <3

I'm not sure if any of these are particularly what you're looking for bc I haven't extensively studied those movements, but you might be interested in 'The Zone of Interest', or the documentary film 'Daughters', theyre both pretty slow and not super plot centric as much as designed to be atmospheric. I though 'A Real Pain' was pretty good I watched that recently. Or if you're looking for absurdism/unexpected plots I'd suggest 'Rotting in the Sun', 'Sorry to Bother You' were both great films that shocked me. Or 'Hundreds of Beavers' which I haven't seen but I've heard good things about the absurdist qualities.
