I loooooooveeeee her!!!!!!! Lauren is an artist from south central LA who bridges sculpture, collage and architecture memorializing black culture and the people in her life. I met Lauren a few years ago thru my bf and have been a fan ever since. I went to her exhibition at The Met and was FLOORED. I was able to see the process leading up to that point and really was in awe of her use of imagination and the amount of work it takes to pull off such an expansive piece. I’m so inspired by her!!! LOVE U LAUREN XOXOXO

Amorelle is one of the city’s best painters, without a doubt in my mind. Her work lately studies space, and her strength is in color. I’m floored by her eye & style, reminiscent of many great painters and poets, and always capturing that something both present and infinite. She’ll be making great work for a long time, she’ll be lasting, the crosswalks and stop signs will start to look like her pieces.

My girls nights literally REVIVE me. Now I completely understand why my mom needed those nights to just kick it with her homegirls- it really does reinvigorate you and just feels like a big warm hug. Our favorite thing to do is say we’re having a movie night, turn on the movie, spark up, then talk thru the whole movie LOL. Idk I love my girls and the warmth they bring to my life. I always leave feeling like I got good perspective on something that might’ve been bugging me or I was able to help a friend navigate something that’s been troubling them. While working on my most recent album Bird’s Eye, I decided that I wanted to really speak the things I desire out of my life and career. From that day I began writing down every single thing I thought of and put it on my bathroom mirror. I kid u not as soon as I started doing this, things just started happening for me in a way I can’t really explain. I think in the past I’ve been scared of really GOING FOR IT or maybe subconsciously felt like I wasn’t deserving of certain things. I really had to step out of that mindset and talk BIGGER to/about myself.
Now every morning I brush my teeth I read all my stickies to myself, close my eyes and really BELIEVE IT ☆₊⊹✮

I’m a BLUSH girl. This is my favorite blush in the worldddddd. I love crème blush bc I can throw it on with no other makeup whatsoever. This shade brings so much life back into my face when I haven’t really slept or just need a pop of color. It’s hard finding colors that work with my undertones and my ginger hair but this works with basically any makeup look and compliments so well :*
