I know Iβm sooo late to this (Im not a coffee drinker!)- I recently started being a coffee shop regular. Itβs enlightening to have a place to chat, run into friends, read, and try new drinks. Sometimes these things feel limited to only alcohol-centric spaces and itβs great to have a spot to unwind after work each day. Chai lattes forever and always β€οΈ

i try to set aside time at least once a week to browse eventbrite! i'm a big fan of their "show only free events" filter.
it takes some patience to dig through, but you can find some real gems. i've been to free theatre shows, boat tours, and cooking workshops.
if your area doesn't use eventbrite, try other platforms like peatix, facebook events or local community boards.

i always love doing something different each year with my friends on my birthday. last year, we went swimming at our neighborhood pool and talked until our fingers were pruney.
afterwards, we had dinner at a nearby restaurant, talked some more and ended the night with me blowing out the candle on a molten lava cake topped with vanilla ice cream.
this year, iβm thinking of going canoeing with them! i'm really looking forward to that.

i learnt how to play dungeons and dragons at my library! they collaborated with a local games store and held free weekly workshops. the facilitators were really patient and i had a lot of fun
